CONCLUSION!! STILL FRESH!!

STILL FRESH
So lastly, like what Subway says, "EAT SUBWAY, EAT FRESH". After doing this research on how people perceptions about Subway food freshness, I have realize that Subway provide fresh food in many people's mind. It is not really surprise that this result turn out that people thought Subway is fresh.
Moreover, customer not only suggest that Subway is fresh but most of the respondent strongly agree that Subway provide the freshest food among the 4 other fast food restaurant which is McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Kenny Roger's Roaster and Domino/Pizza Hut.
My opinion, Subway did a very good job on their marketing skills such as, advertising because majority of the respondent did agree that Subway is as fresh as it is advertise. Moreover, promotions and discounts is the primary strategy that steals customers heart away. Subway have different promotion everyday.
Besides, high percentage of respondent believe that the ingredients used in Subway is fresh and without preservatives although there are so many different types of negative comments on the web, magazines and some even with evidence. My opinion is that most of the customer did not do an exact review on the ingredients that is used by Subway like my posted before.
Last but not least, most of the respondent agreed that Subway's sandwiches is more fresher and better than home-made sandwiches. It is a shocking discoveries that people thinks that way.
Subway also known as a fast food restaurant, people used to called fast food restaurant as a  "TRASH OR JUNK FOOD PROVIDER" but unlike any other fast food restaurants, customer has a mind set that Subway is a "FRESH FOOD PROVIDERS". They even believe that Subway's sandwiches are fresher and better than the home-made sandwiches or we can say as the sandwiches that is made from their own mother.
So, Subway remain and still fresh in most of the people's mind.

The truth behind

 chipotle chipotle chipotle
When we heard of Subway, ‘fresh’ appears in our mind. Fresh bread, fresh vegetables, fresh meat, everything freshly made. Even the company itself comes out with the slogan: Eat Fresh. But is it true that what we eat is reflected by the company’s goal of serving only the fresh food? Will it be shocking if whatever Subway serves is the complete opposite of what we think it is?

It’s true that Subway has a very large chain around the world where you can find the restaurant easily. But is it true that the food served is fresh as being marketed? Are the sandwiches really good? Subway would certainly like you to think so. With the slogan “Eat Fresh”, marketing with a man who lost hundreds of pounds eating the very famous sub sandwiches; it is easy to get tricked. Also, you may feel deceived when you see a little heart logo, indicating that the food in Subway is “heart healthy”.
Sure Subway makes your meal right in front of you, but what is really happening behind the scenes? To keep the ingredients fresh, preservatives are being used! Boxes of already cut up and pre-packaged processed foods and chemical addictives are being shopped from BigFood industry factories to each location.

Next, the bread used might look and smell freshly baked but it contains close to 50 ingredients including refined flour, dough conditioners, hidden MSG, refined sugars and etc. Could bread processed this way ever be real food? Certainly not, when it includes a chemical ingredient called azodicarbonamide, which is banned as a food addictive in the U.K, Europe and Australia. If you get caught using it in Singapore, you can get up to 15 years in prison and be fined $450,000. This ‘Azodicarbonmide’ is more commonly used in the production of foamed plastics, however, it is allowed in the U.S as a food addictive, a flour bleaching agent, and a dough conditioner that improves elasticity of bread. The U.K. has recognized this ingredient as a potential cause of asthma if inhaled, and advises against its use in people who have sensitivity to food dye allergies and other common allergies in food, because Azodicarbonmide can exacerbate the symptoms. So, is this what we call as ‘Fresh’ when it only takes 4 or 5 simple ingredients to make a REAL bread? All we need is flour, yeast, salt and water.

Furthermore, Subway has admitted sourcing its chicken and meat from ten different countries including Thailand, Uruguay, Germany, Denmark and the UK. All the imported meat is frozen and can take at least a month to reach. So, do you think it is still fresh? In its defence, Subway says by ‘fresh’ it means that the sandwiches are freshly made in front of customers, not that the ingredients are fresh. It also says that, the meat sourced is not 100 per cent meat. The ham for instance, contains pork rear- leg meat, water, salt, stabilisers. Dextrose (sugar). Lactose, smoke flavouring, preservative and antioxidant.

Thus, if anyone of us wants to purchase a sandwich, think twice.

Freshness guaranteed

Subway is known for serving millions of customers around the world with fresh, great tasting food and good nutritional choices daily. The company claims that it puts food safety and food quality as the top priorities where Subway will evaluate all the ingredients from the time they are grown, harvested to being put into the sandwich or salads in the restaurants.
To ensure that the food served is always fresh and sustainably produced, Subway has stringent audit processes being enforced throughout its supply chain as well as requires that its suppliers’ employment practices meet its Vendor Code of Conduct.
Its high standards for food safety ensure that the customers are getting the quality expected. It begins with setting detailed product specifications followed by inspection of samples pulled from distribution to ensure that specifications are being met. In addition, the auditing process ensures that good agricultural and harvesting practices (GAP’s and GHP’s) are used by the ranches and farms that supply produce to Subway. The auditing bodies vary by country. For instance, in the United States Subway uses the USDA to audit to this standard.
